Grace Lutheran College has a long standing record of success in sport spanning over 40 years. Our students are passionate about representing the college in a wide range of sports and activities that range from Soccer, Touch Football, Rugby League and Netball to Ice Skating, Gym and Ten Pin Bowling. We believe all students should be encouraged and have the opportunity to participate in sport and fitness, as a crucial education pillar in developing Grit, Growth and Grace.
Participation in sport at Grace Lutheran College is compulsory for all students due to the physical, social and emotional health benefits it provides. This is supported by a range of learning and development opportunities, which cater for different interests, physical ability, age and gender of our students. These opportunities are divided into three bands - Recreation Sport (non-competitive/fun activities), Competitive Co-Curricular Sport and the GLC Sporting Excellence Program.
In 2019, we launched a multi-sport excellence program, GLC Sporting GOALS at our Rothwell Campus. This program has been specifically designed to suit the needs of high performing students through a holistic approach to athlete development.
Provides athletes with a supportive and passionate vertical class structure, which offers quality mentoring and guidance throughout their sporting journey, all while working towards their sporting and academic goals
The Grace Active Sports Program (GASP) is a Grace Lutheran College initiative designed to encourage Primary School children to be actively engaged in sport, health and fitness in a fun, safe and positive environment.
Programs are age and sport specific with our coaches leading a range of game based activities which will help develop children’s confidence, social interactions, leadership and fitness. In order to create the best learning environment classes are capped at 12 children per coach. SO GET IN QUICKLY TO AVOID MISSING OUT!
