The Opportunity
Commencing 3 January 2025 - Grace Lutheran College is seeking a dedicated Helpdesk/Systems Administrator to join our IT team. In this key role, you will provide technical support across both the Rothwell and Caboolture campuses, ensuring the smooth operation of our Helpdesk systems. You will oversee day-to-day IT support for staff and students to ensure excellent service delivery. This role also involves supporting key school events with technology.

The successful candidate will require attention to detail and the ability to work across two campuses, ensuring consistent support and service delivery. A strong commitment to the Christian ethos and values of Grace Lutheran College is essential. The ideal candidate will also have:
> Appropriate tertiary education in the Information Technology field, Bachelor’s degree in IT or similar.
> Proficiency in managing Windows and Office 365 environments.
> Knowledge of network and system administration (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP).
> Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network issues.
> Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
> A proactive, flexible, and resourceful approach to problem-solving.
> A strong commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
> Working in an educational institution would be an advantage.
> Knowledge of a School Administration package (i.e. TASS) would be an advantage.
> Coding or scripting experience (e.g., PowerShell, Python) would be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
* Serve as the first point of contact for IT support, providing helpdesk services to staff, students, and parents.
* Manage user accounts, devices, and software licenses through systems like Active Directory, Office 365, and Teams.
* Maintain and troubleshoot hardware, including computers, printers, projectors, and network devices.
* Provide technical support for school events, including assemblies, presentations, and parent-teacher meetings.
* Monitor and ensure the security of the network and systems, applying patches and updates as necessary.
* Support the roll-out of new technologies and train staff on the use of hardware and software.
* Maintain accurate documentation of technical support requests and solutions.
