At Grace Lutheran College we acknowledge that every student enters the classroom at a different ‘starting point’. Each student has their own personality, talents, experiences and aspirations that frame their intellectual, social, emotional and physical development. At Grace Lutheran College our Middle School program recognises that God made each one of us unique with our own gifts, and that these should be valued and celebrated for every student.
Our Year 7 Curriculum is designed using a 'Core’ and ‘Elective Sample’ approach. Student study a core curriculum of common school subjects and sample electives from our other learning areas. This approach aims to provide a stimulating and challenging school environment that also encourages students to grow, explore their interests and achieve increasingly challenging learning outcomes.
During the year students also undertake a wide range of subject incursions, school excursions and school camps. Like our curriculum, these help students to grow academically, spiritually and emotionally.
